Nine consecutive titles, with 80 race wins and 120 podium finishes… Sébastien Loeb started rallying back in 1995, he now competes in the Dakar Rally and Extreme E. What better way to honor one of the greatest drivers of all time, than to build a special edition motorcycle. To do that you can’t just take any motorcycle out there. It had to be an Indian.

Not only is Sébastien Loeb brand ambassador for Indian motorcycles, but the FTR, which they chose for this project, is definitely more than adequate as it is seen as a street legal version of the FTR750 flat-track racer. And when you have a machine like that, all you need is the right customizer. That is where Paris-based garage, Tank Machine, comes in.

One of the two motorcycles will end up in Sébastien Loeb’s private collection. The other, with a little bit of luck, can be yours. How is that possible, you ask?! Simple, all you need to do, starting from February 8th up to May 15th, is to register online with your local dealer and take an FTR for a test ride. Piece of cake. But wait, it gets better! The lucky winner will receive this incredible version of the Indian FTR at the Wheels And Waves bike show in France, alongside the legend himself, Sébastien Loeb. Unfortunately, there is a catch. This is only available through selected European dealers and South Africa.

Loeb’s favorite motorcycle customizer (so we have been told), Tank Machine, really did something special with this FTR. The details haven’t been fully disclosed, except the ones that are visible from the start.

Starting from the front the FTR Loeb has a new custom-made front fender, new LED headlight with a number nine on a blue plate. Moving back, there is a new fuel tank with Loeb written on both sides, and an air filter with Loeb’s autograph. The seat is completely redone and looks amazing. It also has a low mount slip on exhaust by Akrapovič (technically from their options catalog), improved brakes by Brembo and an interesting looking rear wheel.

So far it is unknown if there were any changes made to the engine. The stock Indian FTR has a 1203cc engine, capable of producing 87 pound-feet of torque and 120 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. Those are pretty sweet numbers for a bike like this, somebody is going to be overjoyed with this.
